The Shimano L04C Metallic disc brake pads use a metal construction, and thus, provide the greatest stopping power and longest wear times. In contrast Shimano’s resin pads which serve up hyper-modulation, it comes at the expense of power and longevity. These Ice Tech pads have fins constructed from aluminum and stainless steel that improves ability to stay cool under hard braking to reduce fade.
