In 2013, Pure Detroit created “Born in the 313” onezies to gift to babies born on #313Day at the DMC Detroit Medical Center and DMC Hutzel Women’s Hospital – Detroit.

We celebrated Detroit’s newest and littlest citizens born on 3.13.13. Detroit and the greater Detroit community celebrated with us – the joy of new life in the city.

Folks who had heard of this, came in the Pure Detroit shops looking for an adult version. Here we give you what you asked for. Represent pride in a way only those born here can claim.

Today, the tradition continues and has grown to extend to the DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital – Detroit, as well as the DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
